EHS Specialist - Sevillo
The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining a safe, compliant, work environment in a fresh-cut, grilling and quick-frozen food processing facility. There is also opportunity to support a spice blending operation at an additional facility. This role focuses on injury prevention, regulatory compliance, employee training, and continuous improvement of safety programs. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing or food processing experience and is comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced, cold-environment setting. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills acquired in school related to his or her area of interest and apply them in a professional setting. Throughout this internship, the intern will be exposed to a variety of engineering functions and projects, including translating complex engineering concepts into user-friendly documentation and utilizing technical writing skills to develop and maintain SOPs, process flow diagrams, validation protocols and technical reports for production lines.
